Located next to the existing Yuma Regional Medical Center, the Yuma Regional Medical Plaza creates a new easily accessible ambulatory care zone of the healthcare campus. A 44,500-square-foot building was built as an addition to the existing imaging center. The building accommodates a surgery center of 4 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy labs, a shared patient prep and recovery area, laboratory and pre-admission testing, shared outpatient registration, conference space, a chronic dialysis center and medical office space. 16,300 square feet of the existing imaging center was renovated to share a single reception and registration area with the surgery center for all outpatient management. HKS master planned this site for incorporation of a cancer center at the opposite end of the imaging center. The center is integrated to share diagnostic resources.
